Momo-chan, the pet cat of the Hanazaki family, goes missing after being kidnapped by another cat during a family trip. To help Momo-chan's owner, Emi-chan, who has lost all her energy, and to find Momo-chan, Tama and the others set out on a journey to search for her. Along the way, they encounter a swallow named Tsubakuro and discover Momoko, but there they are met by Blackfoot, the leader of a group of cats abandoned by humans, and his subordinate Bobtail.
