Bridget hatches a plan with the pub bartender, promising him that she will help save his failing pub, if he poses as her boyfriend at the double date. Throughout the film, Bridget goes on a journey of self exploration, self love, and acceptance, as she makes new meaningful connections, and is able to find true happiness in being herself.
