Omar in the Big Movie

Omar gets a job as a driver for a family and, in between, becomes a nanny for a girl named Anfisa. At first glance, it seems that she lives in paradise: her parents have a lot of money, and the house looks like a museum and has artificial intelligence. In fact, her mother and father's marriage is falling apart, and Anfisa herself is trying in every way to prevent their divorce, doing unthinkable tricks. Omar has his own reasons for putting up with the antics of the unbearable girl: he needs a luxurious house to pretend to be a millionaire in front of his relatives, who are about to arrive from Dagestan. Meanwhile, the family's previously fired tutor Valery has come up with an insidious plan that could ruin the lives of everyone involved.

Woman’s Affairs

Tong Siu-wah is jobless. Tong shares a room with Chi-on. His neighbour Lai-ping is a factory worker. Another neighbour Siu-kuen is Manager Chin's mistress-to-be. Siu-wah never bumps into them. Siu-kuen is forced to be a mistress to pay back her family debts. Chin is about to marry Siu-kuen as his mistress. Lai-ping and Siu-kuen are friends and Lai-ping wants to help her. Lai-ping and Siu-wah have never met and they argue. Lai-ping separates their rooms, Siu-wah's glass frame was accidentally shattered by Lai-ping. Lai-ping meets her penpal and find out that Siu-wah him. They teach each other to trick their flatmates. Lai-ping puts a fake snake in his room. Siu-wah puts pins on her bed. The two eventually realized who each other is. Lai-ping helps Siu-kuen pay off her debt and not marry Manager Chin. Chi-on discovers that his boss' husband is Siu-kuen's husband-to-be. Chi-on reveals the truth to Mrs. Chin. Chin cancels the marriage. Lai-ping and Siu-wah become a couple.

The Lion City

Lion City (狮子城 in Chinese and “Bandar Raya Singapura” in Malay) tells the love story of Feng Ling, a rubber packer at a factory, and Shao Ming, who is the manager of the rubber factory. When Shao Ming learns that Feng Ling is the daughter of Cheong Ah Choy, he approaches Feng Ling and the two become friends and fall in love with each other. Their relationship goes through many challenges bringing them apart for some time but alas, fate brings them back together in the beautiful Lion City, with consent from their parents to get married. Lion City is the first Chinese film produced by Cathay-Keris in post-war Singapore. The film is highly valued today for its scenic panoramic shots of Singapore in the 1960s as well as references to the political conditions of the time. It is one of the few Chinese films shot from a Chinese perspective during a time when Malay films dominated the industry.
