Costa Rica: Child of the Wind

In war-torn Central America there is a country with no dictator and no army, a country at peace with itself and its neighbors. It is the oldest democracy in Latin America. This film explores the history of Costa Rica and the reasons it has been able to exist as a neutral country firmly committed to social welfare and free elections. This film was originally made for the International Conference on Human Settlements (HABITAT) which was held in Vancouver, Canada.
