In this film by New York-based filmmaker Matt Haller, she recounts the grief and pain of losing her father, interwoven with her Puerto Rican heritage.

Inspired by the works of Jonas Mekas, Chantal Akerman and Angela Schanelec, Ive made what is my longest film diary so far. One that spans my two week vacation out to the New England region of North America. What i have here is another cerebral experience into a world that is so closely far away.

From Salt to Soil is hour long audiovisual project bringing together the sounds of USOF & Zarya with the words of Joana Coelho and Madalena Anjos, directed and edited by Léna Lewis-King. The film follows the landscapes from Barreiro to Crato, layered with notations, inner and outer worlds - tracing the geographic / poetic, with transportive and hypnotic sound scapes. It was made for the 2025 edition of Waking Life festival, where it debuted as the opening event for their cinema programme, Moonscreen.

Three Letters: La Mamma Morta
'La Mamma Morta’ is an aria from the opera Andrea Chenier that is also well-known for its use in a memorable sequence in the Oscar award-winning Philadelphia. Thirty years on, this new short film from WNO includes a brand-new recording of the aria featured alongside recreated scenes that better encapsulate the perspectives of people living with HIV today. To mark World AIDS Day 2023, the Welsh National Orchestra released a special new version of La mamma morta, featuring WNO Orchestra, soprano Camilla Roberts and Nathaniel Hall from Channel 4’s It’s a Sin. Released as part of the last rendition in the Three Letters project, this film aims to tackle societal stigma around HIV.

Is it possible to travel twice to the same memory? The filmmaker built a cabin on an isolated riverbank, just opposite his childhood island, which had disappeared under the water after the construction of a dam. The goal was to go back to that place, which had become invisible. Only the trees of the island where he’d played stood firm in the middle of the water, like the masts of a broken toy boat, so the air was the only space left, the only vestige of the past to be conquered. This film is a diary of a castaway in memories: four months of a Walden experience in a lost paradise with two hens, a small vegetable garden and a clock that stopped forever at 11.36 and 23 seconds.

Guillermo Gómez Álvarez explores the identity politics of Puerto Rico via archival footage from various sources that clash with nine original songs from local independent musicians and a thematic analysis from a psychoanalyst and a historian. From the juxtaposition the absurd becomes coherent and the coherent becomes absurd as Puerto Rican identity is defined and rejected almost simultaneously.

With interviews with family members, poets and artists who knew him, this feature film explores the unknown world of this mythical character of Chilean literature.
